Papa John’s pizza is an American Pizza restaurant chain that is widely regarded as the fourth biggest pizza restaurant franchise in the United States of America.
The headquarters of Papa John’s pizza is in Kentucky, Louisville.
The restaurant was founded by “Papa” John Schnatter in 1984.
It started in the broom closet of his father’s tavern in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
He sold his car to purchase pizza equipment and then he started selling the pizzas right out of the closet to the customers of the tavern.
His pizzas became quite popular among the general public and he had to move into a bigger space to deal with the number of orders and people.
Pizza Hut became a public enterprise in 1993 and by 1997, it had about 1,500 stores.
Today, Papa John’s has over 5,000 outlets all over the world and they are known mainly for their delivery and carryout services, although some branches of Papa John’s have tables and chairs so you can eat in.
Papa John’s has partnered with several big companies and organizations to promote their brand and products, such as Six Flags, where Papa John’s became the sole supplier of pizza from 2006.
